How has your country warmed, 1940 to 2025?
Land heats up faster than the ocean, so most countries have warmed more than the world as a whole. Tap a country on the map, or choose one from the list.
Change is the average of 2016 to 2025 compared with the average of 1951 to 1980. Country data covers land only and starts in 1940. Results for very small countries are less reliable.

End values: very low emissions pathway from the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report (2021); pledges and current policies from the UNEP Emissions Gap Report 2025. The path between now and 2100 is simplified. Projections are relative to 1850 to 1900.
Why half a degree matters
The Paris Agreement aims for 1.5°C, not 2°C. Here is what the difference means, according to the IPCC.
